My family and I are sorry to hear of this and would like to offer our condolences. Safety is top priority always. "Even when using the ramp in a driveway." I have nearly rolled my Jeep multiple times and my wifes Xterra at Kyles. lol Seriously please everyone be safe no matter what you are doing and no matter how small it seems.

We as a group need to buckle up like we are racing every time we put our rigs in gear!!!!! I dont want to have a friend and co 4wheeler die foolishly!!!! On hard trails we always remind everyone hands in....we should also remind everyone to buckle up when the rig is moving.
Thats my two cents...

I will make this part of my checklist. I would too also hate to loose someone we know closely because they forgot to buckle up. Rob

It seems we all get a little cocky sometimes.. Im always buckled when Im in a seat, but Ive stood in the back of matts rig, or layed on erics tonno cover on more than one occasion.. Who wants to die, just because theyre lazy..

Here's a little safety tip I thought I'd pass on to everyone. If your 70 year old dad manages to get himself locked into a RV storage lot, don't let him jump the fence to get out. He may just break his ankle, forcing you to sit in the ER till for 8 hours till 1:30 in the morning, when you give up and go home without seeing a doctor because there is a rush hour line of ambulances and helicopters dropping off people even more accident prone than your dad.

OMFG...! Now I know it's not me.... you Finn's are accident prone for sure! ;D Tell your dad to drink a Tecate when taking those Vicodins and he won't feel a thing! ....and back on Topic. I read the post on RD. I am the WORST at this.... not taking time to strap in. In fact, I'm still running a seat belt in the Marvzda, and I have a full harness at home that I have yet to install... Imma dumbshit! Please yell at me if you see me get in w/out harnessing. Marv

He was wearing his belt. He got hurt from the impact. Probably just had a lab belt on. I am guilty of this too. I always put the lap belt on, bu rarely my shoulder harness. I am also one of the first to "screw around" when I am in my truggy (ask Randy and Kyle).

Well, we ALL have had our share of close calls that turned out for the best in the last couple years. We really ought to pay a little more attention to the safety aspect. Hey, this Finn only is accident prone around a Springer !!! My Dad however is another matter. The nurse wanted to know how bad his pain was on a 1-10 scale and he couldn't decide, so I asked him if it hurt worse than a gunshot wound to the foot, or worse than chopping a finger off on a table saw. He wasn't amused.

Hey was a hosehead!! He was in the storage area messing with something on his RV but never checked in at the office when he went in, so they closed up and locked the gates. My Mom (who is not supposed to be out after having anagioplasty a week or so ago) couldn't resist the call of Ft Mcdowell and was playing bingo. She wouldn't leave her bingo game to go to the hospital to beeee with my Dad! >>>>UPDDATE<<<< He broke his heel, not his ankle. 5 days off his feet and 4 weeks on crutches sez the doctor. I predict he will stay off it 2 days, and be back on his motorcycle in a week.

He is used to healing from stupid accidents, maybe that will help him recover from this fully. All kidding aside, it is going to be rough for him as my mom is recovering from angioplasty and having a stent put in an artery so she isn't going to be much help to him. A motorcycle riding buddy was rearended recently and had a compound fracture of his hand and wrist and also a broken heel, and the heel was the much more painful of the injuries.
