Hey all I just wanted to give you a heads up on something that just happened to me. I just went to the DMV to transfer the title on my 91 xplorer and discovered it was revoked by the DMV because the owner obtained it with a forged release of lean statement. It is still owned by the bank and they are repossesing it even though I bought it based on a title that said no lean holders. The DMV issued it before the forged doc was discovered. Now it is being repossesed even though I paid $1,900.00 cash for it. I am now without a vehicle and may be charged with possesion of a stolen vehicle (DMV makes a mistake and I have to pay for it!) I have an attorney but I need a new vehicle asap or am in jeapardy of loosing my job. I know now to always do a carfax or title check before paying cash even if the title looks clean. Anyone got a cheap 4x4 that runs for sale?

No repo as of yet. Looking for someone who wants to take the problem off my hands cheap. I am beginning to think the bank isn't going to bother with reposessing it as the cost would probably never be able to be reocovered. Still looking for cheap 4x4 for temp dd and trail fun.
