I was looking through here the other night and I found some pictures of a member cutting his fenders on his Rubicon to make room for 35s. Can seem to find it now. Was just wondering how the 35s have affected his Jeeps performance (on & off road). Still stock gears? Lockers still function correctly?

Haha Chris the lockers will be fine.. Stock gears would suck a bit but with 4.10s its no big deal. A manual would be helpful too.

Nope Auto. Wife says I drive too slow anyway. Guess that's what happens after 9 years of driving a bomb around town.

Hey that's me! You wanna hear something funny.....my gas mileage has gone up. I'm still running stock gears with an Automatic tranny. I turn off the overdrive for freeway driving and can still easily hit and maintain 75 mph (although I don't like to too often). The speedometer and and odometer are both off by 13%. My mpg has gone from 14 with the stock 31's to just under 16. I haven't wheeled it yet but am hoping that the 4:1 will compensate for being undergeared in the rocks. I just don't have the cash for 5.13's right now.

Oh and here are some updated pics: I've pulled the rear flares but haven't cut the rear wells. I've got 8.5" of uptravel in the front and 9" in the rear so I think I'll stay with this setup for awhile.

Nor the need.. OR a company that makes them for a rubi. ;D Of course I need them ;D Just not right now. They'll go in the same time that I comp cut and stretch the rear, add a BL/MML/Tummy Tuck, add Alloy Shafts, a fuel cell and some 37's Oh and Alloy USA makes 5.13 gears. I'm gonna get their package deal with Alloy USA shafts front and rear with 5.13's and install kits for like $1300 shipped www.northridge4x4.com/proddetail.php?prod=PKG-ALLOYUSA-AXLE-GEARS

Looking good. I don't think....hell I know I couldn't cut into my Rubi like that. Replacing stock fenders with flat fenders is on "the list" though. 'Course then I'll need some new Loco decals. Got it all planned out, unfortunately the buck O five in my pocket ain't gonna get me there!
