I am looking for a D35 for my YJ. I currently have 4.10s in my axles. If needed I can swap out. My housing is shot but the gears and shafts are fine. I will need to make it SOA so if it is already great but if not no worries. Please let me know by responding back to me directly please and I'll get with you. Money is very tight right now this is why I haven't wheeled in a very, very, long time. I need to get out again. Thank You, Steve

I have one in my dad's backyard. Has a lock right but pinion bearing is shot (3.08 gears).
Make an offer. I can pull the L/R out and just make it a housing if you want.

The 3.08s definately won't work. I currently have 4.10s and don't want to swap the front out. Money is extremely tight so you tell me. Business is VERY SLOW so I'm hurting in cash flow. I need to get the Jeep back up and running. Thanks, Steve

I know you want a yj housing but the tj ones are the same axle, just has more bracketry to remove. I have one with 50,000 miles on it and 4.10's in it. I will take 200 for it. pm me if intrested.

Sounds like a good short term plan dude.. Ill try and find a locker for the 35 if you dont have one. And I might be able to round up a few spare shafts.

Is a D35 out of a 89 XJ able to accept 4.10 gears? It is also going in a 95YJ. It currently has 3.07 or 3.08s. All I need is the housing if it'll work. Thanks for any help.

the problem with the 89 housing is it should be non c clip. This will make parts much harder to find, and in order to install 4.10's in it you will have to change carriers. Also, you will need to find someone to set up the gears, which also has added cost.

What is the carrier? Sorry for my ignorance on this subject. So my gears from my YJ are not capable of working? I have good gears, and shafts right now. It is my Housing that is shot. Thanks, Steve

the carrier (what the ring gear bolts to), gears, and shafts will work in the other housing, but will need to be re-shimmed. What I am saying is, you cannot simply remove from one housing and transfer to another housing without re-setting pinion depth and backlash etc.....

So how about a D35c out of a TJ.? Will the gears/shafts whatever transfer over or should I only look for a housing from a 95YJ? Thank You and I appreciate your input. any dana 35 will require the same amount of work, and the internals are all the same, with the exception of a non c-clip rear. However, any time you swap internals, you need to re-set the gears, so it would be best if you could find a housing that is complete with 4.10's.

OK everyone here is my biggest obstacle to get the HEEP back to road/trail ready again. Does any one have a Throw away YJ/TJ D35c axle? I have the leafs now. My gears and axles are all in good shape. I need to have an axle that is able to receive this gearing (4.10s), this is what is in my Jeep now. I'm sorry but I do not have money at this time. What I do have will be needed for gears and help getting it back on the road. Thanks all, Steve

This $200 axle would be less work and less money and we might be able to make it a bolt in with your 4 link.

I know what you are saying but I do not have $200.00 or want to stick with the coils. My plan is to ditch the coils again. I have 4 3.5"lift leafs. I will either be doing the SOA (less likely) or go to the SUA again but with the lift in place. Thanks

RIght. But no matter what you do you will have to find a leaf sprung rear end wtih 4.10s for free.. [not likely to happen] OR you have to pay to have your gears put in the new housing. That $300 is just labor and does not include bearings, seals, or anything else you might need. So you either bolt in a $200 axle or work a lot to pay $300 plus for a lesser setup. I dont understand..

I have the housing he needs $100. It is a YJ housing. Hell for another $50 I can flip the perches for SOA.

So let's try this route. I am not in that desperate a mode right now but would be nice. Does any body have a D35c YJ/TJ with the 4.10s in it? If so what are you asking for it? Please be nice I am a family man still trying to have some fun. I have limited funds. The business is very expensive to stay legal and has drained us financially. Again I can wait if needed. Thank You, Steve
