Yes it is Johns. He is doing volunteer work to help protect our lands. I am trying to get involved in the Peer Patrol aka OHV Ambassador program myself. I think this is a great idea.

They are working the TM area as well as Saguara area, and I think the other area is Cavecreek. I may be wrong I'll have to check. I'm still waiting to hear back from the guy in charge of the training for the Peer Patrol aka OHV Ambassador for the September class. This would be kick a**

Would be nice to actually get paid to drive something like that, but going around busting wheelers instantly makes you a dick in my book (even if it is just your job).
Would be better served running the border & catching real criminals!

What he is driving is his own buggy that he built. I'll be driving my Jeep. It should be up and running by that time. As far as the border goes you are saying they are real criminals because they crossed our borders? That is BS. We have real criminals everywhere. They are called murderers, rapist, molesters, etc. Everything takes time and this is all voluntary. If you are staying on the trails, not littering, carrying your permit then you will have nothing to worry about.

Agreed.....but Illegaly crossing our border makes them criminals to.......But as long as they keep making good burros i don't have a problem with them here. That job would be fun if you were heavily armed incase a run in with a group of shooters

I am so sick of this argument. I have nothing against migration. All our families came from somewhere else right? But when my family migrated here they went through the proper channels & became citizens. They just didn't hop a fence & say "gimme gimme". Crossing our borders illegally IS a crime! I'm sorry it is such an expensive time consuming process to become a citizen, but then I feel it should be. I don't take being an american lightly.
As far as following the rules, I most certainly do. I don't have a permit, well, I do have an expired red rocks pass in my glove box, but am not against getting one. Just haven't.
How and where do I get one?

I don't take being an American lightly either. Our families did use the channels as such for the times. I truly believe these immigrants need to be handled but through the proper channels. That is a very dangerous job to guard the borders nowadays. I just believe we need to do what I can to Help keep our trails open. Realistically we will never stop all the proplems but every little bit will help. Standing back and watching our lands dwindle because of these few that find it necessary to trash our trails. Or just decide to tear up the landscape by making a new trail or take a 4x4 vehicle on a motorcycle trail. I'll be a voluteer on a scheduled time that is it. Not at all times. I also need to update my permit since I let it lapse. I've not had a Jeep to drive in a year plus now. It is not like the voluteers are just looking at trying to ticket people. We all need to be responsible and we won't have any problems. This is my way of trying to give back since I've not been able to help out on the cleanups. I'm not trying to start problems but to try and help educate others. Steve

Doing whatever ne needed to keep the trails open is good. Kudos! However. I have a bone to pick with you on this statement. "As far as the border goes you are saying they are real criminals because they crossed our borders? That is BS" THEY ARE CRIMINALS IF THEY CROSS THE BORDER ILLEGALY. Most Az criminal activity is due to ILLEGAL imigrants. END OF ARGUMENT.

THEY ARE CRIMINALS IF THEY CROSS THE BORDER ILLEGALY. Most Az criminal activity is due to ILLEGAL imigrants. END OF ARGUMENT. NEVER SAID THEY WEREN'T CRIMINALS. But they are issues that need to be dealt with by the Proper Authority. We have enough problems going on as far as REAL CRIMINALS are concerned. So you want to stop the crossing but let the murderers, rapist, drug dealers, etc keep going by placing our focus on them. Sorry I'd rather have them crossing than letting the others go. Why don't you provide the proof that MOST AZ CRIMINAL ACTIVITY IS DUE TO ILLIGAL IMMIGRANTS. I will tell you that you are wrong. So whatever, there is no arguement and no one will ever say give in to the other so who cares. I have my opinion and you have yours. So goes life.
